How to make a XXX file from a picture

  1. Upload your image

    PNG, JPG or WebP. Logos, text and flat artwork stitch best. Nothing is uploaded: digitizing runs in your browser.

  2. Set size, colors and density

    Pick your hoop (4×4, 5×7, 6×10…), the number of thread colors and the fill direction. The stitch preview updates as you go.

  3. Check the sew-out, then download

    Play the sew-out, check stitch count and jumps, then download PES, DST, JEF, EXP, VP3 or XXX. First design free.

XXX questions

My Singer reads XXX and DST. Which should I use?

Use XXX: it keeps thread colors. DST works too, but colors will show as defaults.

Can I convert an existing PES to XXX?

This tool digitizes images. Converting an existing embroidery file between formats is on our roadmap.

What images work best?

Logos, bold text and pictures with clear color areas. Photos work but gradients become bands of color.
